Longing for touch
In a world largely governed by digital interactions, I try to connect with analog materiality. Through colors, textures and the soft forms of ceramics, I create sensory objects that awaken the viewer's curiosity and ability to feel.
Jury Motivation:
Ceramic and textile hybrids that unexpectedly interact with architectural elements. The form invites tactility through a strong visual and material presence in the space. In the aftermath of the pandemic, the designer has made visible the human fear of touch and proximity in the public environment. Through color, form and structure, the project attracts the viewer. The project alludes to a frightened delight where the organic forms break with a minimalist design canon.
