What is Ung Svensk Form?
Ung Svensk Form is an annual award and traveling exhibition for young designers. A jury selects approximately 20 entries, which are displayed at museums and cultural institutions throughout Sweden.
All applicants are automatically considered for:
- The Exhibition
- Scholarships from partners
Who can apply?
- Residing in Sweden or a Swedish citizen living abroad
- Maximum age of 36, or older if you are a student at the time of application

Frequently Asked Questions and Answers
Does everyone who applies have a chance to be part of the exhibition or receive a scholarship?
Yes, everyone who applies to Ung Svensk Form has the opportunity to be selected for the exhibition and/or to be awarded one of our 23 scholarships.
Can several people be behind one application?
Yes, register the application with one name and indicate in the application that there are several of you. Remember that the application should be anonymous, so avoid mentioning names in running text. In case of further selection, all names will be included.
Should the application be anonymous?
Yes, the application should be anonymous. Therefore, make sure that your name is not included in any of the application documents.
How many applications can I submit?
As a member, you can apply with as many projects as you like.
What if I apply with a collection?
A collection can be included in an application, as long as it represents the same project.
How do I prepare the application?
Describe the project clearly with both text and images. Provide information on materials, techniques, craftsmanship and dimensions. Include close-up photos to give the jury a good idea of the entry. You can attach up to 6 images per application.
Can I apply if I am over 36 years old?
Yes, if you are a student at the time of application or graduating in the current year.
What happens if I move on?
- Step 1: The jury selects x number of entries for a jury meeting where your entry is physically displayed. The decision on whether to submit your work will be made in early October.
- Step 2: At the jury meeting, the final decision is made regarding which 20 entries will be included in Ung Svensk Form. All applicants will be notified in October, regardless of whether they are selected or not.
What if I have technical problems uploading files?

Can I apply with projects already shown in other contexts?
Yes, as long as the project is still relevant and represents your current design.
Can I change or complete my application after it has been submitted?
No, once the application is submitted, it is final. Check everything carefully before submitting.
What is included in a scholarship?
Scholarships can include travel, work opportunities, financial support or collaboration with our partners. The scholarships awarded vary each year. Find out more about our current scholarships here!
When does the tour begin and end?
The tour begins in February each year with a premiere at one of the country’s leading venues. Throughout the year, the exhibition visits just over four prominent institutions in Sweden.
