1. What is Excellent Swedish Design?
Utmärkt Svensk Form is Svensk Form's most prestigious award. It is awarded annually to products, materials and environments that stand out through outstanding design and contribute to the development of Swedish design nationally and internationally.

2. How does it work - can I apply?
No, there is no open application process. The jury nominates the entries that are considered worthy of the award but receives support and advice from the Editor-in-Chief of Svensk Form and the regional associations of Svensk Form.

3. Can you still tip the jury?
Yes, you can! Have you seen something you think should be highlighted? Please let the jury know by sending an email to info@svenskform.se.

4. Who can receive Excellent Swedish Design?
Anyone active in Swedish design - as an individual, company, team or initiative - can be recognized, regardless of discipline or type of project.

5. What does the jury look for in its selection?
The jury assesses the works based on several aspects, where height of idea, height of work, sustainability, social relevance and craftsmanship excellence are some of the factors that the jury looks at. The works can range from timeless everyday objects to advanced material solutions and site-specific environments, always with a clear connection to our present and future.

6. Is there a time limit on what can receive the award?
Yes, there is. To be eligible for Excellent Swedish Design, the work, product or environment must have been launched or publicly displayed within the last three years. For 2025, this means that the contribution must have become public in 2023 or later.

7. When is the award presented?
The prize is awarded annually in September. The next award ceremony will take place on September 16, 2025 at the National Museum in Stockholm.

8. What happens after the award ceremony?
An exhibition of this year's recipients is produced and displayed from the following summer in collaboration with an institution in a different city each year. The 2025 exhibition will be displayed in Skellefteå.

9. Does the award have any categories?
No, there are no fixed categories. The award is broad and cross-cutting - the jury highlights what best reflects Swedish design today and tomorrow, regardless of form or function.

10. How is the jury selected?
The jury consists of leading figures in Swedish design, architecture, crafts and visual communication.
