VIDE The Valet
This sophisticated and unconventional piece of furniture redefines the fine dining experience by offering an elegant resting place for handbags or jackets at the table. I designed it for GEMLA as a central part of the VIDE collection, where their signature steam-bent wood craftsmanship is given new life as a functional sculpture.
Jury motivation
Sometimes a project needs to be nothing more than visually elegant. All the individual parts are familiar in a way. The technology is old, and its function and practical value can be questioned. But at the same time, everything feels right. The proportions are balanced and the curves elegant.
