Formbärare
The strength of Swedish Form has always been to immediately address the challenges of the present and the future, today with the vision of A sustainable society through good design. On the association's birthday on October 6, our regional associations will, for the tenth year in a row, crown their Form Bearers across the country to manifest the power of design.
The Form Bearers are individuals, organizations or companies that in various ways play a major role in the development of form and design in their region. The Form Bearers may proudly carry the title for a whole year until the next Formslag, on Svensk Form's birthday.
Here is the list of all 2024 Mold Carriers

GOTLAND - M.arkitektur and Studio Lomakka
Web: m-arkitektur.se, www.lomakka.com
Instagram: m-arkitektur.se, studio.lomakka
Motivation:
The collaboration between m.arkitektur and Studio Lomakka has shown how different disciplines can lift each other to new levels. Together they have created several projects with Gotland materials and local craftsmen where Lomakka's design in wool is integrated into m.arkitektur's sensitive architecture. Through collaboration early in the creative process, the wool in the form of, for example, absorbers, interior walls or fixed furnishings, is as natural a part of the architecture as the house's light intake, climate shell or spatial layout. Elements that cannot be compromised. For their collaboration and ambassadorship for Gotland design, m.arkitektur together with Studio Lomakka is therefore the Shape Bearer of the Year 2024.

VÄRMLAND - Sophia Forslund
Webb: forslundska.com
Instagram: molded shape
Justification:
This year's shape bearer in Värmland is Sophia Forslund, who has run the company Forslundska Form in Torsby since 2019. Sophia makes shape and colorful graphic design, illustrations and products that breathe the 70s but also the natural. It is motifs and patterns that are permeated by life and movement and a humorous tone. In Sophia's newly built and close-to-nature studio in northern Värmland, ideas, illustrations and shapes merge into unique creations that range from decorative objects to utility items. Each object is a manifestation of Sophia's ability to add color to the everyday and transform ordinary objects into works of art. Sophia has previously been selected as a Design Talent at Formex and made one of this year's Christmas trees at the same fair. During the year, she has also started collaborations with Ekelund, which weaves her rugs, and Klippan wool factory. This shows that her design is both functional and deeply personal - we see a palette of colorful patterns and shapes, inspired by a bygone era but deeply rooted in the present.

VÄSTERBOTTEN - Peder Nyström
Web: kakelugnsmakaren.se
Instagram: kakelugnsmakaren
Motivation:
Nothing is carved in stone!
Peder Nyström has been a stove maker1 for 30 years. He reflects, innovates, designs and trains[1]. For an ancient craft to survive, you need the courage to challenge and the ability to renew and preserve at the same time. This is Peder Nyström's hallmark. Tile kiln making is quality-sensitive and masonry is done with few tools: hammer, trowel and bare hands. Between the kiln and the tools is the craftsman's creativity, the ability to overcome the limitations of the tools and solve the unexpected in the process. Peder Nyström brings to life the excellent motto "good design for a better life". During the 18th century, there was a shortage of firewood in Sweden and the efficiency of tiled stoves with flues became the salvation of the nobility, only in the 19th century did the heat source become common. The inventors were Fabian Wrede and Carl Cronstedt.
