SKYING
My work is a hand-printed curtain that explores twilight as a symbol of being in the middle of a transformation. Here we are at the moment when the security of light gives way to the uncertainty of darkness. The work is with 18 frames and 15 color mixtures, screen printed on viscose and lined with linen fabric.
Jury Motivation:
Twilight is a hand-printed curtain created with 18 screen frames and 15 color mixes. The size is 4 x 3.3 meters and is intended for the decoration of public environments. Through the maximalist scale, the viewer steps right into the picture. Twilight is like a portal into another landscape. Twilight represents a threshold state where the day transitions from light to darkness. The designer shows the forces of nature as uncontrollable, where man is less than nature.
