Maximize form – Minimize waste
Is it possible to create sculptural wooden furniture without waste? In my collection, I use simple band saw technology to shape furniture from whole pieces of wood. This shows that sustainable production does not require advanced technology, just new ways of thinking.
Jury motivation
The designer shows how curved geometry can be added to a straight piece of wood without removing most of the surrounding material. The result is both intelligent and effective, with clear commercial potential. The project also draws attention to an often overlooked problem in the furniture industry, namely the waste generated during production.
