Beauty for All - Design Talk @Conran Shop
"What is design for happiness?" is the question that designer Dan Sunaga, professor Takayuki Ikegami and The Conran Shop's creative director Shinichiro Nakahara explore in a conversation based on the new translation of Ellen Key's Beauty for All - and her still relevant idea: "Beauty brings happiness."
Key's vision of more beautiful everyday products for everyone has never lost its power and continues to inspire generation after generation.
About Swedish Style
It all started in Tokyo at the turn of the millennium, when Swedish Style put Sweden on the Japanese design map. Now we're celebrating our 25th anniversary and returning with new energy!
Swedish Style is led by Svensk Form in collaboration with the Swedish Institute, the Swedish Embassy in Tokyo, Business Sweden, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and long-standing Japanese partners.
This year's focus is on design and export promotion, with the main effort during DesignArt Tokyo October 31-November 9, and more activities in November-December. The aim is to establish long-term collaborations and make Swedish Style a recurring event.
