Future Past - a panel discussion on tradition and innovation

Sweden is one of the few countries in the world with strong domestic furniture production and a deeply rooted design culture. Our unique strengths as a design nation are based, among other things, on knowledge of sustainability, combined with an understanding of the emotional and aesthetic values of form.

The panel discussion explores how we can create the right conditions to continue to be a strong design nation in the future. How do we enable a future strong and competitive Swedish design scene?

Participants are the designer Ingegerd Råman, interior designer and artist Kajsa Melchior, Daniel Heckscher, project manager for Stockholm Furniture Fair, and architect Robin Krasse from Westblom Krasse Architects. The conversation will be moderated by Simon Anund from Verk. Organized jointly by Stockholm Furniture Fair and Verk.
