EXAKT MFG & Superlab: The Listening Lounge

During Stockholm Design Days, EXAKT MFG & Superlab present: The Listening Lounge, in the library at Svensk Form. The installation is intended as a public living room, bringing together furniture, sound, and social interaction. It draws inspiration from Japanese listening lounges and their focus on shared presence and communal listening.

First we listen, then we speak. A dialogue aimed at understanding and responding to real needs.

In an era characterized by short product life cycles and fleeting trends, EXAKT MFG proposes a gentle rebellion. It shows that when craftsmanship and technology are kept in balance, local production becomes not only possible, but meaningful.

The Listening Lounge will be presented February 3–6, 2026, marking EXAKT MFG's first public presentation.
