The Perforated Furniture Collection – Folkform / Källemo

"The Perforated Furniture " is a furniture series made of perforated Masonite by Folkform and Källemo. The series builds on Folkform’s longstanding work with the material and draws inspiration from the use of Masonite in Swedish workshops, storage systems, and public spaces.

Jury motivation

Through precise and culturally conscious design, an everyday industrial material is reinterpreted as contemporary furniture architecture. The perforated Masonite panel becomes a design language in which function, material, and storytelling interact with consistency and integrity. “The Perforated Furniture” is awarded the Excellent Swedish Design 2026 prize for its contemporary and culturally historic approach to form, materials, and manufacturing.
