Come with us to Nittsjö pottery factory

Welcome to join us at Nittsjö ceramics factory.
Almost exactly a year ago, Malin Eliasson, a ceramist, and Pia Ohlson, an economist, took over Nittsjö keramikfabrik, which was experiencing financial difficulties. Malin and Pia, who both run their own businesses in form and culture in Hälsingland, felt that the ancient factory, which was founded in 1843, had to be saved.
Malin will guide us around the factory, the completely renovated shop and tell us about the future plans for the entire cluster around the factory.

"We have been very warmly welcomed here in Rättvik, despite the fact that we are Greeks," says Malin Eliasson. Photo: Anna Klint

Nittsjö Keramikfabrik was founded as a brickworks in 1843 and is now a serial producer of ceramic household and decorative items. A variety of earthenware products are turned or molded here and finally glazed. The factory has a century of experience in pottery making and working with designers, and also occupies a top position in the ceramic art industry.
