Justification:
Through a responsive design with a focus on long-term sustainable and easy-to-maintain qualities in harmony with the existing environment, Gropen Svärdsjö activates this previously neglected gravel pit. Here, a new meeting place has been created for local children and young people as well as for visiting enthusiasts. A place, open to all, where practical architecture, form, art and board culture together strengthen each other and create opportunities for creativity, movement and play.
