The Buké Lamp Collection – Simon Skinner

Buké is a series of sculptural lamps by Simon Skinner, made from recycled glass objects found in thrift stores and flea markets. The lamps combine these found objects with new technical components and sandblasted surfaces, and are produced in limited editions.

Jury motivation

Recycled glass objects are transformed into sculptural lamps with a strong identity and presence. With a keen sense of materials and precision, craftsmanship and contemporary design come together, with light becoming an integral part of the design. The result is a poetic design language that balances the intuitive with the elegantly understated. Buké is awarded the Utmärkt Svensk Form 2026 prize for its artistic excellence, precision craftsmanship, and innovative approach to giving existing glass objects a new, contemporary expression.
